These regulations have now undergone a significant alteration, extending the implementation timeline by an additional four years. This means that the changes stipulated in the regulations will not be enforced until January 1, 2028.

15 December 2021 - Since FSN 210024, issued on June 18, 2021, we have been monitoring the use of genuine battery. The use of non-genuine batteries is not approved by organizations in each country, and the quality and performance cannot be guaranteed. In order to eliminate the use of non-genuine batteries, service providers who have sold or replaced non-genuine batteries will be required to attend training programs for the purpose of re-awareness.

8 April 2021 - JRC Europe is excited to present the new standardized Remote Diagnostics Report created by the JRC RMS-Support team in Rotterdam. This report will help the JRC Service network, superintendents, and technical managers to better prepare a service visit onboard the vessel, to increases the first-time fix rate, and reduces service costs. The status of all JRC equipment can be checked remotely, by a cyber secure connection, in advance of the service job, so the crew is sure that the engineer brings the needed spare parts and tools to do the job. In some cases, the problem can be fully resolved remotely with a software update or a change of settings.

Losing containers at sea has a major impact on the ocean environment and is a huge cost expense for shipping companies. Heavy rolling and pitching of the ship is one of the causes that the containers lose their stability and start falling overboard. JRC’s navigational radar JMR-7200/9200 has the Wave Analysis function that is easily available by a software upgrade.
